Asian Stocks Follow U.S. Equities Lower as Drugmakers Retreat

Asian stocks fell after U.S. shares declined amid mixed company earnings. Drugmakers and finance shares led losses on the regional benchmark gauge.

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index retreated 0.1 percent to 133.59 as of 9:01 a.m. in Tokyo. The gauge surged 8 percent this month through Tuesday, on course for its best monthly advance since September 2010, as Chinese shares rallied and traders pushed back expectations on the timing of the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate increase.
