Historic Palace Becomes First InterContinental in Venice

Venice, Italy—InterContinental Hotels Group recently announced the signing of its first luxury hotel in Venice, Italy. The 16th Century Palazzo Nani in the heart of Italy’s major touristic destination is slated to open at the beginning of 2018, and will run under a franchise agreement with Gruppo Cordifin and H.n.h Hotels & Resorts Management.
Conveniently nested and facing the Cannaregio Canal, which connects to Venice’s Grand Canal, the historical property offers access to top landmarks, including St. Mark’s Square, the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. The new InterContinental Venice – Palazzo Nani, close to the city’s train station and gateway, will become a 51-key hotel retaining the building’s original decorations…
