J Sainsbury Agrees to Offer $1.9 Billion for Home Retail Group, Owner of Argos
ByLONDON — J Sainsbury, one of Britain’s largest grocery store chains, said on Tuesday that it had agreed on the terms of a bid to buy Home Retail Group in a deal that would value the acquired company at 1.3 billion pounds, or about $1.9 billion.
