Fourth-quarter profit, trading revenue surpass estimates
Morgan Stanley said momentum from a strong fourth quarter, including bond-trading revenue that more than doubled, continued into the first weeks of this year.
“Going into 2017, the market sentiment is clearly more optimistic than we were going into 2016,” Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Pruzan said Tuesday in an interview. “The tone is better, all the markets are open and constructive, which is not where we were last year.
