Steel Manufacturer to Invest $250M in MO Mill
ByNucor Corp. plans to build a rebar micro mill in Sedalia, Mo, about 90 miles east of Kansas City, Mo. The project represents a $250 million investment and is expected to be operational in 2019, pending the receipt of final approvals and award of state and local incentives.
In addition to shortening distances for rebar supply to the upper Midwest and Plains markets, the Sedalia location will take advantage of scrap supply from Nucor’s other operations in the area. Scrap supply will be provided by the company’s scrap business, The David J.
